Music

I enjoy listening to great music.
If I need to relax it helps me achieving just that. And of course it can be used in a lot of circumstances, e.g. when working, reading, driving or training.

I'm only listening to quality music though, music you can still enjoy 5-10 years from now (or even longer), not just a month or two - music with a lasting quality.

I'm not interested in dance chart music, house etcetera, music suited for a noisy discotheque but not for a conversation or pleasure - it isn't something you would sit down and listen to, it is only used when dancing (and I'm not interested in that kind of disco dancing anyway). And of course no one will remember the tunes when a couple of months has passed by.

I'm mostly into classical music, rock, blues and country (especially the modern type of country that's heavily influenced by e.g. rock and blues) - a musical genre my trips in USA and Canada has taught me to love.

The bands and soloists I like the most are names such as: Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, Dierks Bentley, Aerosmith, Creed, Nickelback, The Calling, 3 Doors Down, BB King, The Robert Cray Band, John Lee Hooker, The Jeff Healey Band, Johnny Diesel, Big Fat Snake, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Barnes, Nils Lofgren, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, U2, Dixie Chicks, Terri Clark, Walter Trout Band and Jimi Hendrix.
I also like a good interpretation of the classical masterpieces composed by e.g. Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert and Peter-Ilitch Tchaikovsky.
I used to play the violin, I guess that might be one of the reasons I like classical music.
